Wilson v. Monarch Paper Co.
Citation:
939 F.2d 1138 (5th Cir. 1991)Facts
Mr. Wilson (plaintiff) was a high level executive at Monarch (defendant) before a period of harassment and demotions led to the decline of his mental well being.
Mr. Wilson began this period as a Vice President of the company and in charge of physical distribution. After being relocated and having his job duties reduced to that of a glorified janitor, other Monarch employees then harassed Mr. Wilson about his age, and forced him to work in a dusty environment which aggravated a diagnosed allergy. Mr. Wilson was eventually committed to the hospital more than one time to treat his depression and manic episodes. Only after almost four years of treatment was Mr. Wilson able to return to a normal life.
