United States v. Dowdell

Monteiro purchased crack cocaine from Dowdell, and noted Dowdell’s attire at the time of the purchase. Later that same day, Dowdell was arrested in an unrelated charge. Monteiro identified Dowdell as the same individual who had sold him drugs, based on the booking photo from the unrelated charge.
At trial, the booking sheet which contained Dowdell’s photo and a description of him were introduced as evidence at trial. This evidence was introduced to corroborate Monteiro’s identification of Dowdell.
