Pressey v. State

Calm was attacked by three assailants. The men robbed him at gunpoint, then fled the scene. Calm ran home to his mother & sister. Wallace (Calm’s mother) began driving in search of the perpetrators, when she encountered law enforcement officers who began following her hoping to also find the perpetrators. Eventually, Wallace & the officers found a man whom police detained. While the police detained the man (Pressey), Wallace drove home and picked up Calm. Calm was brought to the scene, where he identified Pressey as one of his assailants.
During trial, on direct examination Wallace relayed the testimony which included Calm’s identification of Pressey.
