The testator, Mary Elizabeth Parker, died in 1863, leaving a will that devised the residue of her estate in trust as follows: Upon trust to use dividends, interest, and income for the maintenance and education of my children until they each reach 21 years of age, and thereafter to distribute the assets equally among them. If only one child, then to that child. Each daughter’s share shall be settled for her benefit and her children. Trustees may assign up to half of a child’s share for advancement in life, business preparation, or marriage, even during their minority. The testator was survived by her two sons and a daughter. One of the sons died in 1873, under the age of 21. The daughter and the other son both reached 21.
