National Peregrine, Inc. (NPI) is a Chapter 11 debtor in possession whose principal assets are a library of copyrights, distribution rights and licenses to approximately 145 films, and accounts receivable arising from the licensing of these films to various programmers. In June 1985, Capitol Federal Savings and Loan Association of Denver extended to NPI a six million dollar line of credit secured by NPI’s film library. Both the security agreement and the financing statements filed by Cap Fed describe the collateral as all inventory consisting of films and all accounts, contract rights, chattel paper, general intangibles, and documents related to such inventory. NPI filed a voluntary petition for bankruptcy on January 30, 1989.
