Teradyne, Inc. (Plaintiff) entered into a contract with Teledyne Industries, Inc. (Defendant) to sell a T-347A transistor test system. Defendant cancelled the order and offered to purchase a different transistor test system for $65,000. The system the parties contracted for cost $98,400, including a $984 discount. Plaintiff refused to accept the cancellation. However, the plaintiff was able to re-sell the T-347A transistor test system to another purchaser.
