The Plaintiff, Overall, and the Defendant, Kadella were both players for two amateur hockey teams. While the two parties’ teams were playing each other a fight broke out between the Defendant and a member of the Plaintiff’s team. The fight then shortly became general with players leaving the benches to join in. During the fight, the Defendant struck the Plaintiff with his fist which knocked the Plaintiff unconscious and fractured the bones around his right eye.
