The officer saw Carter and Johns (defendants) through a gap in the window of the ground-floor apartment belonging to Ms. Thompson. When the defendants left the building in a vehicle, officers stopped and arrested them. Cocaine was found during a search of both the vehicle and the apartment. The defendants had never been in Thompson’s apartment before and they were only there for two and a half hours for the sole purpose of packaging cocaine.
