Facts

Michael Milkovich (Plaintiff) was a wrestling coach at a local high school when his team became involved in an altercation with another team. A hearing was held by the Athletic Association and the plaintiff’s team was suspended, but upon consideration by the Court of Common Pleas where the plaintiff testified, the suspension was overturned. Theodore Diadiun wrote an article for Lorain Journal (Defendant) implying that the plaintiff lied under oath at a judicial proceeding. Plaintiff filed a libel claim against the journal and the author.
