Defendant placed two advertisements in a newspaper for three fur coats, two min scarves, and one black lapin stole (fur coat), which would be on sale for $1 each on a first-come-first-served basis. Plaintiff entered the store to request the sale price on two occasions. Both times he was denied the opportunity to purchase due to a “store rule,” limiting purchases to women.
