The City of New London formulated a comprehensive economic development plan. Much of the land needed for this project was purchased from the owners of the land — many of whom willingly sold their land to the City. Petitioners own land that the City needs for the project and they are not willing to sell their land to the City.
Pfizer, Inc. intends to build a research facility in the Fort Trumbull area of the City. The hope is that this facilitiy will bring new business and commerce to the area. Petitioners land is located in this Fort Trumbull area.
