Pressly (Respondent), an attorney in Vermont, represented a female client in divorce proceedings against her husband. The client revealed to Pressly in confidence that she suspected her husband was sexually abusing their son. When negotiating supervised visitiation provisions, Pressly revealed this information to opposing counsel in response to a question about whether sexual abuse was an issue in the case. Vermont’s Professional Conduct Board subsequently filed a grievance against him for breaching his duty of confidentiality to his client.
