The parties married in Florida and have three sons together. During their twelve year marriage, they moved from Florida to New Hampshire due to the husband’s employment opportunities. According to the wife, their stay in New Hampshire was intended to be temporary after which they intended to return to Florida. After the husband filed for divorce, the wife asked the court to award her primary responsibility for the children so she could relocate them to Florida, where her extended family lives. The husband opposed this move. The court issued a custody plan where the wife got primary custody but was not allowed to relocate the children outside of New Hampshire.
