Roy and June Villwock were critically injured in a car crash on July 25, 1985, and transported to a hospital. Both suffered cardiopulmonary failure, with June being pronounced dead at 8:23 p.m. and Roy at 8:34 p.m. A probate hearing determined Roy died in the ambulance before June, based on testimony that his heart and lung failure was irreversible. Roy’s will left everything to June, and there were no children or contingent provisions in the will. June’s will left everything to her family members.
