A bus carrying 21 passengers was traveling in New York. The bus had a seatbelt for the driver, but none for the passengers. During the trip, the driver dozed off while the bus was going roughly 60 miles per house. The bus went across the highway into the passing lane and encountered a median trip and a sloping embankment. The driver awakened but his attempts to regain control were unsuccessful and the bus rolled over several times injuring the passengers. The Plaintiffs, Gloria Doomes and a few other passengers, sued the Defendant, Warrwick Industries, Inc., the manufacturer of the bus.
