Craig v. Boren
Citation:
429 U.S. 190 (1976)Facts
An Oklahoma statute prohibited the sale of beer with 3.2% alcohol to men under the age of 21, and women under the age of 18. The state attempted to introduce evidence that males between the ages of 18-21 were more inclined to engage in drunk driving, thus justifying the need for different age requirements for men than women.
