Officers Rhodes and McCall tracked down a motorcycle involved in previous traffic violations, and were able to locate the motorcycle on the property of Petitioner’s girlfriend’s house. The officers drove to the house, and arrived at a time Petitioner was not at the property. Before Petitioner arrived, Rhodes identified the motorcycle on the property underneath a tarp, which he lifted to confirm.
Rhodes took photographs of the motorcycle, and confirmed it was the motorcycle involved in the earlier traffic violations.
Petitioner eventually arrived at the property, where Rhodes investigated further by questioning Petitioner. Collins allowed Rhodes entry, and subsequently confessed to possessing the motorcycle without a title.
