The husband worked for the defendant for about six to nine months. Overall, the husband’s work for the defendant resulted in asbestos exposure. However, there was also evidence that the plaintiff’s husband was a heavy cigarette user, having smoked two packs per day for 30 years. The effect of cigarette use on the plaintiff husband’s condition was disputed by medical experts presented by both parties.
