Anderson v. Gouldberg
Citation:
53 N.W. 636Facts
The plaintiff, Anderson, claimed to have chopped trees on section 22, township 27, range 15, Isanti County. He then hauled the trees to a mill where the defendants, GA, took possession of them. GA claimed the trees were actually cut in section 26 of the adjoining township on land owned by the Ann River Logging Company, and that GA was directed by Ann River Logging Company to take possession of the logs. At the trial court, the jury entered a verdict in favor of Anderson also deciding the logs were cut where he alleged. GA’s motion for a new trial was denied and they appeal this denial.
