I do not intend to leave anything to my daughter Debbie.” Jane’s children are from a previous marriage and have not been adopted by John. By the time of John’s death, he and Jane have divorced. However, John’s will has not been modified. Debbie and her children argue that they are entitled to inherit John’s cars via intestate distribution.
