John is a mechanic at a car dealership. He agrees to attend a car show on behalf of the dealership to maintain the cars being shown. At the show, John offers to sell one of the cars to a customer. The customer believes that John is a salesperson, because John is wearing a button-up shirt and a nametag with the dealership’s logo. However, the customer does not know or ask for the name of the dealership. John enters into a sales contract with the customer on the dealership’s behalf.
