Police officers were called to the scene of a suspected house break-in. A neighbor informed the police that she had heard glass breaking and someone breaking in next door. The police heard a door slam and someone running across the backyard. The person was Garner. An officer yelled for Garner to halt, but Garner began to climb over the fence.
