Brown and the alleged victim, Edna Nethery, grew up with each other on neighboring farms. Nethery was walking past Brown’s farm to her grandmother’s house. She greeted Brown, and Nethery testified that Brown got her on the ground, unbuttoned her clothing, then had intercourse with her. Nethery further testified that she requested Brown let her go and that she tried as hard as she could to get away. Brown testified that Nethery did not resist. There was no sign of a struggle on Brown’s face, hands, or clothing.
